The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has left the Ducks without any games in Anaheim and its arena, Honda Center, without any events since March. Henry and Susan Samueli, who own the team and manage the facility, went months without slashing full-time personnel across its enterprises. But the pandemic that has stretched into December brought about a decision that some sports owners enacted long ago. The Samuelis on Tuesday announced cuts to nearly 15 percent of their staff that stretches across the Ducks, the AHL's San Diego Gulls, Anaheim Arena Management and their system of ice and inline facilities titled The Rinks. Employees working with the ocV!BE entertainment district development and H&S Ventures, the owners' business arm, were also affected.
