The Warriors laid off about 10% of their business-side staff Thursday, the team said in a statement to The Chronicle. Thirty-nine full-time staffers lost their jobs, and four more were furloughed, according to a team source. No one on the basketball side was let go. Thursday’s layoffs hit ticket sales and game presentation, among other departments that rely on fan attendance at Chase Center. They came 10 months after the Warriors laid off more than 1,700 part-time event staffers. Before Thursday, Golden State was one of the few NBA franchises not to lay off full-time employees amid the coronavirus pandemic.
