Hitachi Vantara is cutting its Silicon Valley workforce again. The data services subsidiary of Japanese conglomerate Hitachi Ltd. plans to lay off 65 employees — 12 on-site and 53 remote workers — based in its Santa Clara office starting May 31. The affected employees have positions in sales and engineering; among those losing their jobs are a senior vice president of business development and two business development vice presidents. Hitachi Vantara notified the state of the cuts March 25.
