Nearly 250 workers at a Comal County call center are set to be laid off in February, according to a notice filed with the Texas Workforce Commission. In the filing, an IBEX executive said the company "has been informed by one of its clients that they will be exiting the New Braunfels location." "This mass layoff is not due to the performance of our employees," wrote Paul Inson, IBEX's chief people officer. IBEX, a business services outsourcing company, said it plans to lay off 248 employees at its office on Independence Drive in New Braunfels beginning Feb. 16.
